Our handmade candles, a French know-how

These handmade candles are made by one of the last candle makers in France and are obtained thanks to an ancestral manufacturing method. The method of candle making known as "à la plongée" allows to shape conical candles, thinner at the top. The cotton wicks are placed in a U-shape on wooden sticks, fixed on frames and then dipped in wax by wax craftsmen.

The colour pigments are sprinkled into the melted wax. The colours obtained are lively and sometimes surprising to create unexpected shades.

The wax used is a combination of paraffin and high quality vegetable wax. It burns slowly and does not emit smoke. Once lit, the candle offers a soft and pleasant glow.

You can thus give free rein to your decorative creativity.

You can also use our duo of brass adapters. By placing the narrower part in a classic candleholder, it will reduce the diameter and you will be able to reserve a place for your favourite candleholders in your decorating wishes.

If the candles are too wide at the base, you can simply make a small incision in the base to fit it into your thin candle holder. If the candle is too thin, you can use a piece of paper or cardboard to wedge it into your candle holder.
